How answers are counted
AI answers cost us real money to produce, so the meter is simple and in your favour wherever we could make it so.
Answer pack
$20 for 500 answers
On any paid plan. Used after your monthly answers, and never expire.
An answer is one AI-written reply
A customer asks, the knowledge base answers with citations: that is one answer, whichever surface it came from — widget, help center, API or your team’s playground.
Repeats from the cache are free
When the same opening question has been answered before and your content has not changed since, the stored answer is served without calling the model, and it does not count.
“Not in the docs” is free
If nothing in your knowledge base is relevant, the reply is written without the model and the answer is given back.
When the month runs out
We email you at 80% and 100%. After that, purchased answers are used; with none left, the widget shows your support handoff instead of answering, until the next month.
Controls that keep the bill predictable
Set a monthly answer cap on each knowledge base, allow the widget only on your domains, and let per-visitor rate limits stop scripts before they spend anything.
Pricing questions
Something else? Email us. A person replies.
Do I need a card for the free plan?
No. The free plan has 50 AI answers a month, one knowledge base and 25 sources, with the help center and widget, and never expires.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, from the billing page. Upgrades apply straight away; downgrades apply at the end of the period you have paid for.
Do unused answers roll over?
Monthly answers reset on the first of each month (UTC). Purchased answer packs never expire.
What is a source?
One file, one article or one imported web page. A 200-page PDF is one source.
Which currency do you charge in?
US dollars, by card through Stripe. Taxes are added where they apply.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual plans cost about 15% less than paying monthly and are billed once a year.
Give your customers answers, not a ticket number
Point PageTruth at your docs, publish a help center and drop the widget into your app. The free plan is enough to see it answer your own questions.
