Knowledge base
Everything your product knows, in one place
Your docs are spread across a docs site, a few PDFs, a changelog and someone’s Notion page. Bring them into one knowledge base, keep them in sync, and see exactly what every answer is built from.
Sources it reads
Websites and sitemaps
Import a page, a section or a whole sitemap. Navigation and footers are stripped; the content is kept.
Scheduled re-sync
Keep URLs current daily or weekly. Changed pages are re-read; removed pages leave the index.
PDF, Word, Markdown, text
Admin guides, runbooks, specs and policies. Page numbers are kept so citations open the right page.
Scanned documents
PDFs with no text layer are read with OCR, so old manuals count too.
Articles
Write in the editor, save drafts, publish to the help center. Published articles are searchable straight away.
Collections
Group sources by product area or version. Collections organise the help center and the gap reports.
Write the article your customers asked for
Open a content gap and the editor starts with the question as the title. Publish, and the next customer who asks gets the answer.
- Markdown editor with drafts
- Publishes to the help center and the index together
- Helpful / not helpful counts per article
Answers you can trace back
Every citation resolves to a real source and location: a page of a PDF, a section of an article, a URL. If a source is wrong, you know which one to fix.
- Page-level citations for files
- Section-level citations for articles and URLs
- Remove a source and it leaves answers immediately
Run it like a team
Admins and members
Admins manage sources and settings; members can test answers in the playground and read conversations.
Delete means deleted
Deleting a source removes the file and its search index entries. Deleting a knowledge base removes all of it.
Separate knowledge bases
One per product, per API version, or per customer. Each has its own isolated index, settings and help center.
Knowledge base questions
Something else? Email us. A person replies.
How big can a file be?
Up to 50 MB per file. Very long PDFs are fine; each page is indexed separately so citations point at the right page.
How quickly does a new source become searchable?
Usually within a minute for articles and short files, a few minutes for a large PDF or a sitemap with hundreds of pages.
Does a source count once or per page?
Once. A 200-page PDF is one source; each imported URL is one source.
