A website import failed
What you're seeing
- A page on the Websites tab shows Failed.
- An import says it found no pages, or stopped early.
Check these in order
Is the page public?
PageTruth can't sign in. Pages behind a login, a paywall or an IP allow list can't be imported. Make them public, or export them to PDF and upload the files. If that fixed it, you're done.
Does the page show its text without JavaScript?
Some docs sites build their pages entirely in the browser. PageTruth reads each page as your server sends it and doesn't run its scripts, so text that only appears after scripts run isn't read. Most docs platforms offer a static or server-rendered option; or export to PDF instead. If that fixed it, you're done.
Is the sitemap address right?
Open it in your browser. It should be an XML list of page addresses. "That sitemap lists no pages we can import" means it's empty or isn't a sitemap. If that fixed it, you're done.
Did your plan's source limit stop it?
The import stops when your account reaches its source limit and says so. Upgrade on Billing, or remove sources you no longer need. If that fixed it, you're done.
Is it a temporary error?
Choose Fetch again on the failed page after a few minutes. If that fixed it, you're done.
